Raymond James Coxon (1896 - 1997) was active/lived in United Kingdom.  Raymond Coxon is known for Painting.

Painter, mural artist, printmaker and teacher, born in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. After serving in Cavalry in Palestine in World War I he studied at Leeds College of Art, 1919–21, and Royal College of Art, 1925. At Leeds he knew Henry Moore, of whom he painted a notable portrait, as he did of the sculptor Jacob Epstein. With Moore, Leon Underwood and others he formed the British Independent Society in 1927. Taught at Richmond School of Art. Was associated with the Chiswick Group and also showed with LG of which he was a member, and the Redfern, Leicester and Cooling Galleries. Had first solo show with London Artists' Association at Cooling in 1928. Official War Artist in World War II. Married the artist Edna Ginesi, with whom he had a joint show at Parkin Gallery in 1985.
